Hey everyone! I wanted to announce that on Saturday, April 22nd, the Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) is hosting a Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) event from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. CFBNJ is an organization that fights food insecurity in New Jersey; last year, CFBNJ distributed over 86 million meals to kids, adults, and seniors all over the state. The GYSD event will include a volunteer shift in the CFBNJ warehouse, where participants will pack food boxes for families and seniors or will sort food donations. There will also be presentations on food insecurity, with a particular focus on how it affects teens and children along with an individual’s health. Additionally, information about planning a service project or food drive and about upcoming events at CFBNJ will be provided. There will also be some group activities for participants to network and get to know each other. You can register for GYSD at this link. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you!
