Mrs. Murphy’s Weekly Updates: Here

The Ethics Institute

The Ethics Institute has a variety of summer programs happening this July that you can sign up for by emailing Ms. Sykes. One program this year is Ethics and the Arts, in which we are going to be designing and creating murals on campus. We will also be going to Philly since the theme is ethics in street art.

Athletics Association

Hi everyone! As March Madness comes to an end, we will be having a mini bracket competition for the Final Four where you can predict the scores and winners of each game, as well as the two teams which will be in the final. You may only fill out the form once individually but multiple people in an advisory can fill it out, as well as faculty. The closest score prediction will win a mini basketball hoop and a box of donuts for their advisory! Also, we will be having a voluntary knockout competition soon between the grades. More information to come!

Spanish National Honors Society

Our bake sale is this Thursday!! We will have jarritos, alfajores, flan, churros, tres leches and so much more!! There’s organizations: Make the Road NYC, Safe passage project, NJCDIS. We will accept cash or Venmo.

DEIB Task Force

The DEIP task force’s second open forum is this Wednesday in the Great Room. We will be talking about the affinity groups. This includes anything from your experiences in the groups to thoughts on the advisors. Also, so far this year we have introduced ourselves to the Kent Place board to tell them about our mission to inquire about curriculum. We have a meeting planned soon with us, Dr. Barovero, Dr. McCreary, and Ms. Lee to talk about 9th and 10th grade English and History curriculum diversity.
