Dr. Barovero
The new Course Scheduling Topics page on MyKPS has descriptions of all classes and summary videos from some of the teachers. All grades besides the seniors have their curriculum nights one day this week. You will need to log onto the assigned zoom with at least one parent/guardian.
Faculty
This week is class of 22’s week to help with the mural for Black History Month. There are also assemblies on Tuesday and Thursday during the 2:30 to 3:30 block sponsored by the BCA.
PrezCo
This is a reminder that the bake sale supporting CHOP Child Life is this Thursday so please sign up to bake and make sure to bring in money to buy things! Also, Thursday is JERSEY DAY in honor of the Superbowl on Sunday!!!
Swimming
Swimming had a busy week & weekend!! We placed 7th at preps and 4th at counties which are amazingly high for our divisions!! Our relay of Bridget, Margot, Lizzy and Emma broke their own school record, Emma broke the 100 back school record, and Lizzy broke the 200 IM and 100 fly county & school records!! Tonight is senior night against Oak Knoll at FDU and on Friday we go against Red Bank Catholic for the first round of the state tournament!!

Dragons of the Week: Christiana Nwachuku lowered her state leading time when she won the 55 m dash in 7.10 sec!, Shoutout Scarlett Gibby for scoring a goal on the ice! One of the three amazing captains, Veronica Melendi for killing it at districts and our game against Montclair when using an entirely new grip!, the entire JV basketball team for CRUSHING it this week and beating Mo Beard 31-13!!!
GSA
Project Prism is this Friday from 6-8:30 in the Great Room. Feel free to bring any friends you may have from other schools! If you would like pizza just make sure to be on time so you have time to sign in and eat.
Lit Loose
Lit Loose will be meeting on Friday, February 25th. We will be having lunch together in the commons room. The book we will be discussing is Caraval by Stephanie Garber. Also, do not forget to log your books!

On behalf of the Math Department, I would like to acknowledge those students who took the AMC 10 and 12 Exam in the fall. Dvita Bhattacharya, Elle Dambrot, Colette Gentile, Angela Hong, Roshni Kopparapu, Kay Lyon, Cassie Miller, Seema Parmar, Ishani Wadhwa, Caitlin Williams, Maya Yie, Cypress Zeiner-Morrish, Miranda Wang. Miranda also earned a certificate of distinction and a qualification for the AIME because her score placed her in the top 2.5% of all scores on the exam nationwide. Congratulations to all those who participated this year!
Ms. Hurley
A Black History Month author challenge will be on my classroom windows during this whole month. Each day I will put up a picture of a black author who is either female, nonbinary, or trans. Please come in and take a guess and I will give you a stamp on ‘passports’ I will be giving out. The answers will be released the day after the picture is posted.
