Diwali Night

Diwali Night is on November 2! We need more student volunteers, so please sign up to volunteer here.

Biology Olympiad

The Biology Olympiad (BO) is a premiere competition for high school students in the USA. The mission of the USABO is to “identify, inspire, empower, and support the next generation of life science leaders and to develop their international network.” USABO Open Exam is a multiple-choice 50-minute exam. All Upper School students are eligible to register.

Students who register are expected to study and prepare for the test; forming study groups is encouraged. Resources available on website. The exam will be administered February 2, 2023 at 4:00 in the US Science rooms. Register from the USABO home page (scroll down to see Student registration on lower right of screen.

Coach Browne

Please take a look at rosters for winter sports! If you see that you’ve been placed in a sport that you don’t intend to compete in or you’re not in a sport that you want to do, please email caprioc@kentplace.org to get the issue sorted out.

A sports information session for parents and students will be held on Thursday, November 10.

If you intend to participate in afternoon sports practices after Trailblazer day, you must participate in the Trailblazer day hike!

LGBT History Month

Isabella discussed her journey through discovering her queer identity, and Cece gave some movie recs featuring queer characters!

Community Service Committee

Remember to donate to the Thanksgiving Food Drive! Items to donate are assigned by advisory, and collection bins have been placed in grade lounges. Collection ends November 15!

US Musical

Come see Chicago, the Upper School Fall play! It will be held on both November 11 and 12 at 7:30pm in the Hyde and Watson theater. You can access the link to buy tickets through QR codes posted around the school- admission is $15 for KPS students and $20 for everyone else.
